About The Course

Immediate Life Support (ILS) is a structured training programme designed for healthcare professionals who may be required to recognise and manage the deteriorating patient or respond to cardiac arrest until advanced life support is available.

This course provides learners with the essential knowledge and skills to assess patients systematically using the ABCDE approach, initiate effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use defibrillation safely, and contribute effectively as part of a resuscitation team.

The course includes written and visual learning materials, followed by a knowledge assessment. On successful completion, learners will receive a certificate in line with CSTF guidance. The estimated completion time for this course is approximately one hour.
